Below is a comprehensive list of the materials we collect:
|
|
If you have any questions please contact us.
|
 |
| | | Plastics All bottles (without lids), e.g. drinks, milk, detergent, etc. Unlike most local councils, we now take other types of plastic packaging. |
| | | Look carefully on your plastic item, if you see PET 1 or 2 you can put it in your green box.
 |
| | | You will find this on many food trays, fruit punnets and toy packaging. Please make sure they are washed and clean. An easy test if you are still unsure is to bend the plastic, if it doesn't shatter then we probably take it. |
| | | Paper Including newspaper, magazines, writing paper, envelopes, junkmail and telephone directories. Please keep separate from cardboard. |
| | | Cardboard Please keep this separate from your paper. We take all types including cereal boxes, egg boxes, postcards, etc. Please breakdown / flatten boxes. |
| | | Cans Both aluminium (drinks) cans and food tins. Washed and flattened please. Labels can be left on. |
| | | Glass We take jars and bottles rinsed (without lids), labels can be left on. Please note that we can't collect pane glass. |
| | | Aluminium Foil Including milk bottle tops, clean foil and pre-prepared meal containers. Cleaning is especially important, dirty foil can't be recycled. |
| | | Textiles Non greasy rags and textiles, any unwanted clothing and pairs of shoes. |
| | | Cartons All composite material, liquid cartons. Washed, squashed and separate from other cardboard. Please remove lids from all cartons. |
